what of your best indeed. there's some clipping happening somewhere I think. check under phones and fix it if you hear the occasional popping sound I'm getting. that aside. I really like this. Very simple but what's here is really sweet and beautiful sounding.

etK responds:

Thanks ! the clipping is intentional :) I'm glad you liked it :D

Don't like the intro at all but this turns real nice. Love your pad swells. Very sweet sounds. Mix sounds good too.

Schematist responds:

Thank you for the honesty!! Appreciate you!

I really want to like this but the slowed down vocals just keep making me giggle and I don't think that was your intention :/ sorry.

TheShamaniac responds:

lmao yeah it wasnt, but it took 30 mins so i guess what was my intention?

thanks for your honesty! oh and the original song is actually great.

like the vibe on the lead but the kit is too spanky. kinda gets in the way of the super smooth atmospheric you had there.

etK responds:

Oh? I thought it wasn't too loud, but you may be right. Thanks for your review!

boost your pre-amps. drum kit is too busy. Good potential. Keep working.

spikel responds:

Hey thanks, good to have some actual technical feedback. I've been working on some new stuff after about a year and a half break, so maybe I'll have a new track or two out in the next few months. Thanks for the encouragement, musical creativitiy seems to always come in bursts for me.

Opening is a little odd but it makes sense to me once I got half way through the tune (I know that may sound weird).

I REALLY wish people didn’t demand their ears cut to shreds by a diamond saw these days. The mixing I mean. I would have enjoyed it way more if it wasn’t so incredibly bright over all and so compressed in the loud sections. I can hear the level drop every time the compressors really kick in. For a hardcore genre that'd be perfect but for something like this, I can't say I like that. That's really the only thing that kept it from 5 star for me. That’s not to say the production isn’t good. It is. Quite. What can I say, people like deafening preamp levels and the 3.5khz - 10khz band is the only thing left to boost, after you’ve leveled your limiters/ect.

This track is a good example of what some might call “cheep” melodies, used with incredible effectiveness. Very pretty. I think it goes passed that though and is legitimate beautiful at times. That middle section is what did it for me. I really appreciate the changes of tempo. Really adds to the emotional impact. I can see why this is sitting at the best of the year slot. Can’t say I’m not a little envious but you nailed that diamond sparkle thing. You really did. Cheers. :)

Onefin responds:

hey man! glad you liked the, uh, sparkle!

mixing is something i didn't know how to do and still don't entirely know how to do, but ive been working on it :) over a year ive stopped using the default limiter in fl so... progress? maybe?

This is house? well I'm not a dub-step fan so I'm not crazy about that aspect but you do keep a lot of this pretty fresh. Cool track.

KaixoMusic responds:

Well, this isn't really House, but the genre that it is isn't on the list of genres that you can pick here on Newgrounds, it is actually Electro.

it's nice but a little too pop for me. Solid production though.

Ryzmik responds:

Well, each one has his own tastes, but Thanks! :D

I make music and sounds. I post mostly on newgrounds so people can use them in games and such. My full albums can be found on my home page below.
